WOW!!

Ok, so last night I am checking my emails and GoodReads (seriously, am getting addicted to this site) so that I can download the 3 books I need to read and review when I see the notication I got a message. From who, you wonder? Why only a well known Fantasy writer. HOLY SHIT. I mean, for some wee little ol' regular person like me, that just freaked me out. He saw that I submitted for a contest for one of his books and noticed my back tattoo (it's my profile picture) and wanted to know if it had witchy connections (yes it does). And I was all, OMG OMG OMG, because this is a PUBLISHED well KNOWN FANTASY AUTHOR. HOLY SHIT!!!

Breath...ok attempt to breath...stop saying OMG OMG OMG....breath bitch!

So, last night I thought and thought and hoped I didn't sound like a complete freak of nature as I responded, in fucking detail, about my tattoo and the meaning(s) behind it.

But wait, there's more...

This morning, I log into my GoodReads (again, see: obsession) and saw that ANOTHER AUTHOR sent me a message. This author is one I have been waiting and waiting to read her book! She's written several, but I have yet to read her first one, because I keep hoping that the library will have it (but the state wide portal is down until Monday, ugh). She saw that I wanted to read her book and just wanted to say HI and maybe trade book recommendations, since we have 114 books in common. I mean, I am sure she contacts people on a regular basis (that was the vibe from her message) but still...

OMG OMG OMG

So, not just one but TWO authors contact me within 12 hours??? HOLY SHIT. (BTW, I am guessing for this particular blog post 'HOLY SHIT' is the phrase for the day)

I am in awe. I am in a small state of shock. I am not quite sure if this really means anything, but it makes me feel all warm and happy inside.

Well, that and the awesome sex last night.

So, I am still thinking of what I am going to reply to her message with. I attempted to add her as a friend but the site didn't like me this morning for doing that, silly system.

And in other news...(OMG OMG)

I am almost done with Touch the Dark by Karen Chance. Another 100 pages or so and will be done. I changed my blog layout a little bit last night (with the assistance of the husband) to include new HTML for GoodReads and Instagram. That was cool and liked learning something new :)

I uploaded (as you can see in my last post) a TON of kitty pictures. I swear Puck and Diego are super photogenic. Which must be nice! I do love taking pictures of them, ahem, as you can see.

Anyways, today seems like it might actually be sorta busy, which is a good thing :)

Oh yes and I was BAD BAD GIRL again, because I got McDonald's again. Stupid stomach growling at me this morning!!

  2. i, Too, am jealous. And sometimes one HAS to have mcdonald's. My own weaknesses are for a&W and N'Out, which are no less toxic. Actually, A & W might be slightly less toxic in the regard that the food is about 3% more real, but it's every bit as laden in sugar and saturated fats.

    1. Honestly, I'm jealous of myself, lol. Yes, this is true. I haven't had A&W but I do miss In&Out. Ahhh, the good ol' days of living in Southern CA.
