I am definitely one of the lucky ones. I am able to work from home, and while I am "essential", my job is not always required for me to be on-site. Yay logistics! I am lucky, I have a job, it's a good job and I like it and even with this crazy Covid-19 shit going down, they are more understanding than I would have realized.
People are dying. People are getting sick. This is so bad and painful to watch happen. I know at some point I am going to get sick, I just hope it's when things have calmed down and there are more resources. Because right now there are few and far between resources available.
So I grocery shop once a week and literally do not leave the house unless it's for work. I use disposable gloves if I have to get gas. And I've ordered some regular DIY face masks with filters, for those future occasions of shopping. And also just in case one of us gets sick so that they (or me) and whoever is taking care of them is more protected than nothing.
This is supposed to go on another month. This will probably last longer than that. I should be doing more cleaning in my house.Or something more, just more. I've finished school so that is no longer pressing on me. I am feeling, something. Distracted, tired but not tired, and I don't know have the right adjectives.
The world as we know is shifting and changing, again. Which is alright because it's meant to change and shift.
I just don't know. Sometimes I feel at a loss, that it's not really that bad. But it's not the flu. It's not a cold. And it's an interesting thought process, think back 200 years when there were not this huge ass cities or even as big as communities we have now. I guess for them though, it was a normal to plan so much out and they probably had more chores to keep them busy and distracted. And shit, I have a ton of things I could and should be doing...I just have no oomph to get moving. It's taken me a week to just randomly write on this post.
And there are some moments I'm good. Where I can focus on the future and think of the good things to come.
It's just not nearly as often.

Multi update
Let's see.
I have 1 tomato that is almost ready to come off the vine :) And ton more growing !! I also pulled off 1 bell pepper :) Can't wait to cook it !
I have major tooth pain so even if I take the tomato off the vine, I can't eat it.
I cleaned my kitchen this weekend (I always feel better for some reason when it's clean)
Will be doing back to school shopping soon, since it starts on the 20th.
I am pretty sure I am going to go back to school and at least get my Associates Degree (ha, I had thought to write AA degree, but that might be misconstrued!) Have to figure that out though and fast.
I got my divorce paperwork in - SCORE - which means I will now start the process of officially changing my last name. Very very excited (it's a bitch though, I know). It feels more official once the paper came in :)
My body is in this whole reaction to last weeks stresses though. Between the poison ivy/oak (ugh, I will post pics on that soon enough) a different skin infection brewing and my tooth, you would think I would be miserable. And honestly, fuck that. Why be miserable - even with all that crap?? It's not like being miserable is going to make it better, or change it! Do I need a woo-is-moment? Yep sometimes I do, but after that you gotta just move on!
I read a book this weekend (which is awesome considering how much I haven't been reading as late) so I am hoping to post a book review on that this week. I really should update my goodreads account and get it current O.o
August seems to be packed with things we're doing! I almost think it's like the start of a season - the upcoming months have birthdays, holidays, outings, mini vacations and all kinds of goodness happening.
I found a ring I have lost in the last week, which makes me happy because I really really love this ring. It's not anything special, just I love it.
Work is awesome. Love my job. Boyfriend is awesome. Love him. Kid is awesome. Love him. My cats, well they are awesome but also annoying and sweet and still adjusting to updating their diets. Love them

Cleaning out the weeds and possessed plants
Yes, the crazy pile of dead bush and trees is GONE. Along with the spiders, webs and all kinds of bugs and OMFG you should have seen the huge ass worms. It was freaky!
Ahem.
Notice the lack of massive amounts of weeds?? Heehee, it looks soooo much better now!
Oh and this? This is where that freaky possessed plant with all the roots WAS. Let me know tell you, I have never whacked at something, cut 80% of it out and have it BLOOM like it was nothing. I mean, seriously, it was creepy!
See, creepy! It belonged in a horror movie of some kind
What it was, was a bush/tree possessed thing that grew between another tree and split it. And they both kept growing. Ugh, but at least it's now gone :) This part was the very center of it, the heart of it. Put all the other roots and whatnot in the yard waste bags, this piece will get its own spot on the side walk for trash pick up :)

Date has been set and other pieces of things
So I received in this week a notice of hearing for the Divorce. July 28th. When I got this in, I had such mixed emotions cascading through me. I was/am elated and at the same time it just all comes crashing down into that invisible vortex of failure and pain.
And when you're now a single mom with (now) 2 kids and a house and 3 cats and a yard and work and just staying on top of everything, it's just hard. Some days, it's all I can do is some chores and take a long shower to cry in. Other days, I'm like a fucking bull dozer clearing a path.
Put it this way, I used to read daily. I was averaging 4-5 books a week. Now? Ha, I haven't ready anything since my vacation in early December. My awesome nephew loves to read though. He asked if we can have a "reading night" like we have Movie Night. I am totally on board with that. Granted, I still have to get some chores done, but it will be nice to have time set aside where we can just chill, no TV or games or PC's and just read. Right now it's set for Thursdays, which means half the time my Kid won't be there, but we will figure out how it all works eventually.
I have definitely learned to just take my time getting things accomplished without feeling like a complete and utter failure.
I have been walking a lot more. I take a .55 walk twice a day at work (helps a lot with me quitting smoking!!!) and I have noticed that I'm getting leaner :) My weight still fluctuates a little bit, but it's down to 211 and it usually settles back down to that. I want to get my walks under 20 minutes (21 minutes right now) and lost another 10 lbs in the next couple of months (hahahahahaha) but who knows. It seems yard work is amazing for anger, frustrations and losing weight! Who knew!
One of them, when I pulled it out of the ground, it's root was over 2 feet long! I have a few more to get out, as well as some others in the yard. Also: I now like mowing the lawn. I am so weird!! But there you go.
There is a ton of things going on, things I want to write about and hopefully I will start to get a few more written more often!

See, I sorta dug up 3 of the tree/bush things that I whacked apart in early Winter :)

A little bit of Monday Madness
It was a busy and not busy weekend. I did not paint the office. Perhaps this weekend.
I wrote out my To Do List, and for once, it doesn't seem like it's TOO much. I mean, I can't really remember the last time I felt that way about things that need to be done. I think part of that is I've finally *almost* gotten to the point where I don't worry if something has to wait to get done (ahem, dishes anyone??). Because letting something wait a few hours or a day, it's really not going to end the world. I am not having panic or anxiety as much over them. Still a little bit, like this worry that keeps nagging at me, nagging at me, nagging until I tell it to chill. Sometimes it does and other times it just gets louder.
Saturday, I slept in a little bit. Made eggs, bacon and coffee. And cinnamon rolls. I was feeling in the mood, even without the kid there (which is always, always hard for me). So I probably over did it. I was using a new cast iron skillet for the bacon. Well...I think next time it would be smarter to cut the bacon in half and do it that way, so that ends get more cooked!!
I did a load of laundry. Hmmm...went to the library and dropped off my books that I'm not reading. Then headed over to the new age store across the street. Where a rather large quartz point let me know that I needed to take it home with me. Well, ok then.
Saturday night, hmmm, I am sure there was dinner involved and part of a scary movie that I saved for later and I think the cats tormenting me and sleep.
Sunday, I hung out with a friend and worked on a puzzle and watched a football game. Last night, it was cleaning and getting the dishes done and I had thought about laundry. I did, I thought for several seconds about doing laundry. Then decided Monday night would be better served for that.
Also, the Kid came home with some serious attitude. Bad attitude. Oh the joys of that. Hopefully he will have chilled out a little bit otherwise I'm in for having another talk with him today about that crap.
Now, tonight, before laundry, I have a few things to take back to JC Penny and Kohl's. I will attempt to get the Kid a belt again. I tried the last time we were out shopping and he refused to try any of them on. Very frustrating when his pants are loose on him and he's whining about the belt his Dad got him has too big of a buckle and that it hurts his stomach when he sits. Ugh, Kid - why pick that one out then!!?? I mean...really.
Anyway, so shopping and Pet store and home to do laundry. Exciting night!! I am liking the calmness of it all though. I am really looking forward to winter being here too...
Work is busy. Tomorrow it will be more so. Which is nice and good and I like :)
