I was really excited to receive this book, based on the synopsis and some of what others have stated in their reviews.
The idea behind the story I really liked. It's unique and has quite a lot of potential to be a truly impacting story for the Vampire genre of paranormal books.
However, how it was presented left me wanting. If it had a little more time in development, where it could have been fine tuned and had more character/character relationship depth it would have rocked 5 stars easily.
This book was hard for me to read through, mainly I kept hoping that the writer was going to more articulate with Ani and Dana (the main characters), especially since they had been around for over a 100 years. I was expecting them to be sharper and stronger characters.
I am hoping that her next novel in this series shows up on the promise that this first one is hinting at.
